LESLIE KOYAMA

SCIENTIST | ARTIST | EDUCATOR

I am a SCIENTIST.

I graduated from Stanford with a PhD in Developmental Biology. I'm interested in how diverse cell types work together to create functional tissues and organs. I currently work in industry developing tools to help scientists understand the complexities of tissue biology.

I am an ARTIST.

I'm a visual learner and enjoy sharing my interest in science through visual media. I also use art to unwind and express myself especially after a long week.

I am an EDUCATOR.

I am passionate about science education. Previously, I trained scientists to use storytelling and visual media when sharing their research. I believe that good storytelling can help scientists engage audiences and enhance discussion about science with local communities.
